Product Shoots
Getting your Business and Products noticed is key to outshining the competition. A professional photographer knows how to get the lighting, colour and clarity right to make your product stand out from the crowd. Read on to find the answers to many questions you may have about our Product Photography service.
Where are you based? We are located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are happy to invite our clients an
appointment to visit and discuss your photography or wait while we
shoot your items. What types of items do you shoot? We shoot many items, from clothes to chocolate –
why not contact us regarding your items that you are wanting
shooting. How much does product photography cost? There are many variables in any project; the
cost of your product photography depends on the particulars of the
assignment. With some simple information, we can give you a free
quote. Why hire a professional product photographer? If you do happen to come across an image that
was not shot by a professional, the photograph will most likely
stand out, not for its excellence. Polished product photography is a
pertinent factor in reaching a product’s full sales potential. If it
weren’t such an important detail, most businesses would save their
money and snap some pictures with an automatic point-and-shoot
camera. Before you decide against hiring a professional,
consider this: our consumer world is driven by visual communication;
people respond psychologically and emotionally to imagery. A
professional product photograph is far more than just a pretty
picture of a consumable item; this kind of photograph is truly
focused on speaking to your product’s market. Hiring a qualified
professional photographer is the first step to successfully selling
your product. How long will my Photography take? The lead-time on your photography depends on how
many projects we are currently working on and how many items you
need shooting. How do I get my products to you? There are two options, either post your items or, deliver your items in person to our office address. Details of how to find us can be found in the 'contact us' section. Do you shoot products which are modelled? It depends on the products. With clothes they do
look better on a models as this gives potential customers an idea of
the 'fit' and 'style' of the clothing, Jewellery items also tend to
look better modelled. We also do macro photography, so if you would
like some more information then please contact us to see how we can
accommodate your needs. What rights are purchased with our images? To make things as easy as possible for our
clients, we include unlimited, non-exclusive, usage rights leases
for all images delivered. Technically, Blue Lights Photography
maintains copyright, but you’re free to use the images for whatever
purpose you please, as long as you desire, without further rights
leases. We maintain copyright mainly for the purpose of being
able to use the image for self-promotion. Your usage rights are
contingent upon payment of your invoice. Any use prior to full
payment constitutes copyright infringement. Between our contact and follow up emails & phone
calls, we do a pretty good job of finding out what angles, propping,
and such you're looking for in your product shot. We also keep the
lighting pretty consistent throughout our images, so you know what
you’ll be getting. How will my photos be delivered? We can provide your images via email, download,
CD or DVD. Formats include JPEG, PSD and TIF. Resolutions can be
from 72DPI for web, 300DPI for print. Do you do catalogue/brochure design? We have a sister business called Blue Lights Design who can provide a catalogue design service, and also design banners, posters, business cards etc. simply click here to find out more
