Studio Photography

Studio Shoots are mainly based on a white background to give you the bright effect of having fun and frolics! Jumping around, playing and having fun, getting people at their natural best is where Studio Photography is the best! Studio Shoots are available in Leeds, Barnsley, so we chose the closest one to you at a time that suits you the best!

How much does it cost to sit for a Studio Session?

The Shoot carries a £50 sitting fee – this is also a no obligation to purchase any prints. The Sitting Fee also incorporates a DVD Slideshow of the images taken on the day, and this is your proofs.

How long does the Studio Session take?

The Shoot is a 1-hour shoot which allows for other people to be taken, many poses/time for children to come around and also outfit changes where necessary.

Are my other family members allowed to participate in the session?

Of Course, bring as many people as you want, within reason. For extra large family groups (over 10) please advise us beforehand to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate this type of shoot.

What should I wear to the shoot?

Dress comfortably allowing you ease of movement and natural positioning
Keep your attire simple wearing solid colours
Avoid clothes with patterns or stripes
If you're with a group, try and keep everyone in similar tones

How do I get my children to sit still?

The Children don’t have to sit still. Some children are a little unsure about having their photographs taken, so I shall help by showing them what everything does, and it helps to bring along one of their favourite toys.

Other than that, natural shots of children playing, with their favourite toys, props and our favourite – Balloons!!! This means that you get shots of your children, without them looking uncomfortable.

*A parent or guardian must be present when photographing anyone under the age of 16.

What if my child has braces?

No problem, most children look cute with braces!

What if my teenager has acne?

No problem. All images are retouched for acne and blemishes for prints. The only thing that is not removed is birthmarks.

How many photos do you shoot?

I take as many photographs as I can within the 1-hour shoot, or as long as the person is willing to be photographed. Some poses may be the same, and eyes may be closed, so these photographs will not be presented to you for choice.

Can I bring my pet to be photographed?

Of Course!! I love animals, and have no known animal allergies. At the Barnsley Studio we have stairs so please make sure you are aware of this when bringing any animals. Dogs and Cats are welcome. And I’ve also shot Guinea Pigs, Lizards and Snakes!!

Can I bring in my own props?

Of Course! That’s what helps specialise the images for you!

What kinds of backgrounds are available?

I shoot mainly on a white High-key background or against black. If you are wanting something different and unusual then why not think about a lifestyle photoshoot?!

How long will it take to get my photographs?

Your DVD Slideshow will be with you within 10 working days. This means that the images are edited by batch processing and then presented onto a DVD Slideshow via the computer and special software. You can not print from this disc.

We also quote up to 10 working days for Prints and Enlargements from date of order. This is due to them being outsourced for print to give you the best quality imagery. And Each image is edited from scratch for prints.

Can I buy the images/negatives from you?

You can purchase a license to print the images off yourself, this is not a problem. Copyright and digital RAW Negatives still stay with the photographer.

What types of payment do you accept?

We currently accept Cash, Cheque and Online Payments via Credit or Debit card, and PayPal.
